Read all about teacher, Lissuzianah Lawrence, and how she and her students built a hostel for students from remote villages in Sabah.
The hostel she and her students built in 2011 remains an important part of its history, although residents now stay in a larger hostel completed by skilled workers in 2023 to accommodate the growing number of students.
The hostel is called Agape House, a boarding home for 35 boys and girls from low-income families, with demand far exceeding the available places.
